Actions - not excuses
London’s policing is controlled by the Labour Mayor. And criminal justice is set by a Labour Government.
So when crime rises and police resource fall short, responsibility sits with Labour. And Clapham Town pays the price because our Labour-run Council makes excuses for them.
But your Clapham Town Conservative Team is taking action - not making excuses. Neil Salt, Promise Phillips and Joshua Forrester have been meeting with senior police officers, securing extra officers on the beat in Clapham Town, and telling the truth about the scale of shoplifting and street crime in the area.
Safer streets don’t come from excuses. They come from leadership, from partnership, and from Conservatives working together with residents to improve Clapham Town.
Our plan for a safer Clapham
- A borough-wide campaign to report every crime - so police numbers and patrols reflect what’s really happening.
- Expanding Neighbourhood Watch and promoting the Met Police’s MetEngage platform so residents stay informed and connected.
- More police and better coordination - a greater police presence and stronger links with the Council and community.
