During rush hour, thousands of us are crammed onto narrow platforms, waiting too long for Northern Line trains which are already full when they arrive. It’s unsafe. It’s unacceptable. And it’s time for change.
Our plan is clear:
- More trains in the peak — 33 per hour, not 30 — with extra services on the Bank branch where demand is highest.
- Better infrastructure — replace the outdated central stairwell at Clapham Common with a third escalator. That means faster boarding, safer platforms, and less dangerous crowding.
TfL has talked about improvements for years. But only firm local pressure will make them act. That’s why we’re calling on every resident, commuter and business owner to back this petition.
Sign today and join the growing number of people demanding that TfL make Clapham Common and Clapham North safe, fast and fit for purpose.
More trains. Safer stations. A better commute.
