Overview
With so much going on in National and London politics, it is easy for us to forget about what is right on our own doorstep.
Lambeth is being let down. Whether it is the 35,000+ people on the wait-llist for a council house, the millions of pounds which are poured down the drain due to council wastage, or the lagging behind on environment measures, Labour are not up to the job in Lambeth.
Regardless of how you vote nationally or which party you would normally support, take a moment to read some of the coverage from various news outlets which show how poorly our borough is being managed - and ask yourself: is this really the best we can do?

A little bit of background
Lambeth has been run by the Labour Party, with only a couple of brief interludes, since 1964 when the Borough Council was first elected under the modern system - and Labour have had an uninterrupted majority since 2006.
You can see the current council makeup below. Labour, shown in red, hold almost all the seats (92%) and can act with very little scrutiny.
