This is our local contract with you – the residents of Clapham Common and Abbeville. It sets out what we’ll do and how we’ll do it. No empty promises. Just a clear plan to improve our community, together with you.
- We will work with the police, local residents and businesses to get more foot patrols in trouble spots and crack down on street crime and car crime.
- We will listen to residents and bring in a proper traffic plan to stop the bad road closures that are jamming up the streets and pushing cars into quiet roads.
- We will organise regular clean-up days to fight against fly-tipping and push to bring back weekly bin collections to ensure our community is kept tidy.
- We will improve Clapham’s transport by securing improvements at Clapham South station and extra trains on the Northern Line at peak hours.
- We will work with businesses on Abbeville Road and Clapham Common to give them the support they need to keep going despite Labour’s increasing taxes on businesses.
